Description
The district town of Parchim is a medium-sized centre in south-west Mecklenburg. The urban area includes 10 districts with around 18,000 inhabitants (80,000 inhabitants in the catchment area).
Parchim is an ideal location for industrial high-tech companies, call centres and the transport industry, among others. As a business location, the district town has an extremely good transport infrastructure, with a large number of logistics companies offering a corresponding range of logistics services in the "land and water" sectors. As a centre between Hamburg and Berlin, Parchim has 3 junctions to the A24 motorway (Parchim-Neustadt-Glewe, Parchim and Parchim-Suckow). Its central location close to the German seaports and its seamless integration into the Deutsche Bahn network make it a logistics centre with a future.
